- Household Garbage and Waste: Mayor Walt Maddox has said that he hopes that garbage pickup will resume Thursday, 5/5 Residents may take household garbage, such as kitchen and food waste, to Black Warrior Solid Waste Authority at 3301 Landfill Drive, off U.S. Highway 82 West just west of Mt. Olive Road. The landfill is open from 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Fridays and 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
